Ceea ce am observat de la prima lectură a sonetelor lui Markó Béla este tensiunea dintre structura fixă a textului şi conţinutul vitalist-reflexiv al gândirii poetice.
Autorul este conştient de riscurile pe care şi le ia evoluând în spaţiul scurt al sonetului. Am în vedere un set de constrângeri şi obligativităţi, o precedenţă ilustră şi dificultatea de a fi, totodată, un poet avizat şi insolit, cultivat şi proaspăt.
Riscurile sunt asumate şi dificultăţile sunt depăşite de Markó Béla.

„În comedia italiană din secolul al XVI-lea se situează şi se defineşte forma «modernă» de teatru, atât la nivelul dramaturgiei, cât şi la cel al spectacolului: în bogăţia de experimente se poate recunoaşte o adevărată «invenţie a teatrului», a însuşi modului în care structura teatrală a fost concepută de către tradiţia europeană ce a urmat, cel puţin până în secolul XX. Este vorba despre un model structural care, pornind de la genul comic, s-a propagat la celelalte genuri teatrale (tragedie, tragicomedie, melodramă etc.), care s-au dezvoltat, chiar suferind o serie întreagă de modificări şi complicaţii, tocmai plecând de la schemele de bază, de la tipologia textuală şi de la cadrul scenic folosite în comedie (chiar dacă spectacolele mitologice organizate la sfârşitul secolului al XV-lea şi drama pastorală au avut şi ele, la rândul lor, un rol paralel şi diferit în acest sens, dar mai puţin hotărâtor la nivel textual).“ (Giulio FERRONI)
